angela is leaving for one month for attachment! im having mixed feelings. happy for her to get such opportunity to travel overseas to open eyes and acquire knowledge that's not found in singapore, and sad to see her leave for this one month cos we can't celebrate her birthday!

angela!! we'll miss you so much la here in singapore. wonder if your morning is our night?

yea. miss lye flew off too. hope she's settling well there. teacher's day celebration is on this coming friday. i cant go back. i have lessons. and ohya.. actually i should go back to zhonghua to visit ms sharon and vanita and mr tay tmr.. i still owe them some presents- they took care of me a lot.

went out for supper in JJ's car to Boon Lay market for the power nasi lemak. came back and watched a little of Man U vs Ports at 3+am. slept at 4.30am and i had lecture at 8.30am. this is crazy. i MUST sleep early tonight man. hall life is crazy.

soccer trg ytd was fun!! a lot more drills and their warm ups are like a lot weirder! haha. but i think i like it. found out that there's one two seniors, 2 more freshies playing woman soccer. so we walked home together. Jerry- one of my new made soccer friend, sprained her ankle cos she stepped into a pot hole. ok.. but still i think the field is a lot better than NY's. at 11pm, played badminton at hall 10 court. so many ppl were playing. wa liao. i think im going crazy. i've never played sports at such a time. anyway, the lights were so dim (lights are supposed to be out by 11pm), that i couldn even see the shuttlecock. played till 1230, and i was coughing a lot, so i went back to room first. luckily shun ru wasn sleeping yet. so could still slowly wash my stinky socks and shin guards and clothes.

hate the toilet. it's always got bees flying around the lights at night. esp at night. morning and afternoon it's clean, but at night, we always risk stepping on unconscious bees on the floor. one snail just died the day before. someone accidentally stepped on it i suppose cos it's shell was smashed. and slime was around the corpse. by ytd, flies were bugging the corpse, happily feeding on it. by evening, though the corpse was gone (probably cleared by uncle), the slime was still there. YUCK. stupid snail. traveling across the most walked path at night. it took a few hours to move centimetres. by night time, it was only halfway through. HAI.

i wanted to go home today. i have absolutely no lessons at all! so wasted. there's construction near my house, so it's super niosy. i called home and all i could hear was rattling noise of the drill. but anyway, i had to knock on ppl's doors tonight again- blk rep's job. :/ IBG is next week. i suppose ppl are more eager and willing to volunteer their time to take part in inter blk sports.
i slept at 2+ last night, and woke up at 8+ to eat breakfast. ppl are saying 'are you crazy? no lesson somemore, just sleep in la'. haha. but when i was walking to the toilet to brush my teeth, i saw my neighbours, wide and awake, studying alr! how can i not wake up early too?! wa. mugging fever coming on now. everyone is reading to catch up on lectures and tutorials.

my psychology textbook is SO SUPER INFORMATIVE, i have to take days to read one two chapters. kk. shall tilt my head downwards to continue studying. having a laptop in front of you isn always a good thing. so distracting. haha.

something aside. was reading my textbook chapter 3 on sensation and perception. it mentioned about Ms Steen, a synthesthete, an unusual artist. i went google to check up on her.

from the textbook:
Ms. Steen is a most unusual artist because she is able to perceive a world where sounds have colours and shapes, an ability she often turns into unusual and beautiful sculptures. A synthesthete is a person with synesthesia, which literally means "joined sensation". People with this condition are rare- about 1 in 25000. In the synthesthete, the signals that come from the sensory organs, such as the eyes or the ears, go to places in the brain in which they weren't originally meant to be, causing those signals to be interpreted as more than one sensation. A fusion of sound and sight is most common, but touch, taste, and even smell can enter into the mix (Cytowic, 1989)

DnD was fun on the whole. I didn't win anything, as expected, but ya, the experience was actually quite good. i still wasn't able to conquer my fear of singing on stage. sry pageant partner.. yong qiang was a good partner to work with. basically he helped me cover up my mistakes a lot. yup. went home straight after the DnD, didn't stay to club with friends, cos i was down with fever. thanks Reno for being there to support me, and all those ppl whom i know couldn't make it down and were supporting me in their hearts.

Monday, 18/8

it was a lonely day to begin with. monday is the day i'm quite splitted up with everyone else. but luckily HW101 i found Amal, and during my one hour break, i found Aldrin. bought two 'Best Mum' 'Best Dad' handphone tags from a bazaar at Canteen B. received a tag that says 'I Love Soccer' too. haha. thanks man!! i will hang it nicely somewhere. At night, BLK reps had to gather to knock on ppl's doors to ask them to come down to Reading Room to join the Inter Block Recreational Games (IBRG). one good thing about being a blk rep is you get to know more ppl, esp your neighbours you didn't even get a chance to say hi to. now i know who stays on level 6- the ulu-est level for girls, with all guys staying downstairs. :/

Today

just one lecture, and my day has ended. shiok. ltr i'm going for soccer trg. my soccer friends aren't joining. they probably had enough and wanted to try other sports. for me, i probably wanted to relive what i missed out during JC life. tonight's IBRG we're having Darts, Snooker and Carrom. IBG (sports) is next week.

went for angela's performance ytd night. was great. saw lam lam and weilin there too.

i've just grabbed the korean class. super happy now. satisfied.
bought psy textbook. reading chapter one now.
ltr there's bloodbank meeting. :( don feel like going. but i've rsvp-ed.
there's tutorial homework. so fast!! the profs are like so strict :(

week 1

hall camp is over. today there's no lessons, tuts start next week. stars planner is a headache. just gotten my matric card and ezlink card. coolto. tonight there's JASH, joint hall bash at zouk. i'm going. but probably want to come back early. should be quite tired. tomorrow is the start of add/drop period. shall log in early. i wanna get my slots. okok. so far, i've nothing much to print, while my friends from other courses are busy printing away. ah. we need a cashcard to print in the library. i'm going to get one. saves trouble. ppl are already starting to buy textbooks! and ppl went for their first lectures alr. i haven't even start on anything. but i'm definitely more familiar with the school compound alr. roughly know which bus to take, where and how to walk from LT to LT. and i know my exams is in Nov alr. so fast right. :/ haven't start lectures, and i know there's exams in Nov. so stressful man.
