YDC Camp

ydc camp was fun. fun fun fun. made more new friends with not only our own group Bison, but also with other campers. many campers were very much interested in joining YDC.

25dec christmas at jurong birdpark. family outing. loved the falcons, vultures, hawks / eagles and owls. watched two shows. one introducing the carnivorous birds (the ones i mentioned earlier), and the other, meant for children, parrots' show. the parrot actually sang "we wish you a merry christmas, we wish you a merry christmas, we wish you a merry christmas, and a happy new year". so cute. pronunciation and melody were accurate! had lunch at kfc- and i suppose the happiest person that day is my youngest sister- all the fries and chicken. hahah.

26dec (today) went for a job interview. it was 45mins long.......... .......... .......... .......... ..... seehua was there too. thanks miss lye and miss hew for your help! mrs ng, you're not forgotten. we miss you!

small stuffs

20dec was my mum's bday. the day we went to the reservoir. yay. had a strawberry bday cake. super nice. freshly made.

21dec went back to HSA for a blood meeting. had a discussion of what's going to happen next year for the ambassadors.

22dec had a farewell bbq at miss lye's house. juniors and j2s were there. most of them. food was super nice, and i had many otahs that night. oops. all of us exchanged christmas gifts. we stood in a circle and rotated the presents. elvis took mine, and as for my present, i received a box of wine gums. thank you whoever bought this! had a chance to visit miss lye's minimalist unit. her place is super windy, quite chilly, come to think of it. saw some of miss lye's artworks. omgosh. it's like, you could only open your jaws in awe. they were so nice lar! no wonder she's our teacher!

23dec (which is today), went to PS, and bought a tee at this shop called www.graniph.com . they sell shirts with cute, pro, designed printed graphics. cool.

lately 've been watching lots of tv. oops.

yesterday went out with my youngest sis to buy her clothes. 'baby' clothes are so cute! went FOXkids. we saw santa claus, she took a photo with him. santa asked her what's he's name, and my too-shy-sister didn't even dare to answer, just shook her head. hai. santa gave her a box of strawberries that were coated with chocolate. yum. nice packaging. nice santa.

today went MacRitchie Reservior. walked through the forest until my legs ached. climbed all the way to HSBC TreeTop Walk. they said it was a swinging bridge. hmm, the handles shook, but not the platform. though, it's very safe (cos it's singapore mah), but seriously, the further into the center you walked, the more your legs would turn jelly. mine did. walked more than 12km. spent about 5 hours. this was how i spent my public holiday.

i wonder hows everyone doing.

Kukup

self reflected quite a bit at Kukup. i shall take whatever that comes in my stride.

shall never let anyone worry about me.

Anyway,

Kukup is a

er...

OKAY place.

we were brought to a fishing village, and we stayed in houses that were built on wooden planks and concrete pillars (they acted as stilts, cos we were literally in the sea). the chinese m'sians living in the fishing village were, i guess, rich, cos the house owners probably had to design their own blueprint, and pay contractors to build the houses up from nothing, and somemore, out in the sea. during the day, the seawater was high, but at night, the whole seawater just disappeared (low tide)! it's as though the Earth is like a cup of water, and when the cup tilts to the right, all the water on the left flows towards the right. but, the living condition is at least better than the floatels in Thailand. er.. although we do still bathe and urine into holes that lead straight to the sea, not to worry, there's still hot / clean water.

i was bored there on the first day, cos there really isn't anything to do and all the rest did was KTV-ing. the worst thing to forget to bring is cards. but anyway, watched the uncles play mahjong, so ok, there's at least something to do.

second day- woke up very early to watch sunrise. but clouds were a little too much, so couldn't really see. just saw colour change. but what was raelly fascinating was the seawater slowly moving in back to where it should flow. a bit like tsunami. the water got sucked to somewhere else, then slowly, the water flows back in a zig-zag manner. rode on a motor boat to kelongs. we were introduced to the different fishes kept at the kelongs. there was this fish that actually shoots jets of water from its mouth in order to hit their prey down. i held an ikan bilis between my fingers, and then those fishes surrounded my hand, and one of them shot out water. the force was so strong. one of the motorboat handlers joked- this kind of fish cannot be kept at home, cos you will have to mop floor everyday. one good suggestion: the garden (as fountain). there is another kind of fish- this fish goes whereever its mate goes. they are a pair, a couple, husband and wife. even fish can be so loving!!

overall, the trip is rather enriching. at least, i got to live a m'sian life for 2 days 1 night.

going Kukup on 15 dec, this saturday. yay.

28-30 dec, red cross blood camp at RC training camp. omg. i can't believe. i'm going back there.

ytd night i just dreamt of our IJTP unit having one of our footdrill trgs. we were laughing, having fun during breaks, as well as, marching hard, banging loud, and saluting proud during practices. then, i dreamt of a scene of meixia and team won champion at National FD Comp. i know i wasn't there, but, i managed to imagine it somehow.

OK. we are now at the end of the 2nd week of dec hols. what have you done?
